EIVISSA WILDE
Author's Note: After finishing Miami Loves Robots I knew my next mix was going to be house. Bob Sinclar and David Guetta had a big impact on my Miami childhood, and I was itching to put something together that reminded me of that. Eivissa Wilde was the result. The title is an amalgam of Ibiza's native name, Eivissa, and the last name of Paul Kaye's character Frankie Wilde in the 2004 dramedy It's All Gone Pete Tong about one of the best living DJs who succumbs to deafness. As an additional homage to It's All Gone, I end the mix with Adam K & Soha's vocal mix of Reflekt's "Need to Feel Loved," featuring Delline Bass, which plays over the film's end credits.
